To be honest, the original purpose for me to take this course is simple：I just love drawing. As animation student i already been through a whole semester of life drawing in year 1 and it was really a good time. Before i drew for interests and through first term of life drawing i learned to draw with certain skills. Therefore when i saw life drawing ware available as a elective i wasn’t even hesitate.
In this semester, the course focus turns to the anatomy studies which quit exciting for me cause drawing lower body was always a trouble to me for year. It’s a great chance to get rid of it. Also i realized that my weak understanding to human body shape were seriously pulling my back while making animation. I definitely need a upgrade.
There were always challenges through this semester. In the beginning was to drew as a whole body. The most difficult problems from my understand was to hide my style. As mentioned in class the purpose of animation course is to help us generate our own style and life drawing was to study human anatomy in a object view. To draw what i saw rather then what i thought it should be. I really struggled a lot cause im doing the animation course in the same time, it always took me a while to switch between two mode.
In conclusion, after all the struggles of this semester. The out come is satisfactory. I tried my best and i do learned a large amount of new knowledge which i believe will help me through my career and life.
